Da das Wetter sehr unzuverlässig aussah, habe ich dieses Bild ganz nah am Ort in der Mündung des Courant gemalt. Ich saß dabei ziemlich weit oben windgeschützt in der Düne und hatte so einen tollen Blick auf die stürmischen Wellen, die sich an der Mündungsmauer brachen.
Als ich fertig war, habe ich das schlechte scheinbar ganz weg gemalt, über dem Horizont war plötzlich nur noch blauer Himmel zu sehen!
Since the weather looked very unreliable, I painted this one very close to the place in the mouth of the Courant. I sat thereby quite far up wind-protected in the dune and had so a great view of the stormy waves that broke at the estuary wall.
When I have finished I painted the bad seemingly completely away, above the horizon was suddenly only blue sky to see!
