Ich habe in den letzten Wochen schon öfter versucht diese (leider total trockene) hohe Gras im Abendlicht zu malen: Die Farben sind so irre - und ich habe es bisher leider noch nicht geschafft dieses Fluffige der Halme einzufangen.
Heute bin ich aber schon ganz nahe ran gekommen...
Mit der Sättigung habe ich es wieder ein bisschen übertrieben - das merke ich leider immer erst, wenn ich das Bild vor Ort knipse und es Side by Side mit dem Original sehe:
Gerade in den Schatten hätte ich um einige grauer bleiben sollen, um diese Farbnuancen besser zu treffen.
Vielleicht sollte ich mich dem Sujet noch einmal früher am Tag widmen, wenn das Licht noch nicht ganz so golden ist und alles überstrahlt.
I have tried to paint this (unfortunately totally dry) grass in the evening light several times in the last weeks: The colours are so amazing - and unfortunately I haven't managed to capture the fluffiness of the blades yet.
But today I came very close...
I overdid it a bit with the saturation - unfortunately I only notice that when I take a photo of the painting on location and see it side by side with the original:
Especially in the shadows, I should have stayed a few greyer to better capture these colour nuances.
Perhaps I should take another look at the subject earlier in the day, when the light is not quite so golden and everything is glowing.
