Herbstspiegelung

Bevor alle Blätter fallen, habe ich noch mal am Schlangenweiher gemalt.

Ich werde die Herbstfarben vermissen ... freu mich aber auch schon auf die Grau und Brauntöne der Natur im Winterschlaf... und vielleicht gibt's diesen Winter ja sogar Schnee?!

Dieses Motiv dient auch als Vorlage für einen Live Maldemo Test: ich habe vor über den Winter (ab Januar bis April) über Zoom Live Maldemos zu machen. Wer Interesse daran hat, kann mir gerne jetzt schon eine Mail schicke, dann schicke ich die Infos dazu rechtzeitig per Mail.

kleine Vorab-Pochade

Before all the leaves fall, I painted at the Schlangenweiher again.

I will miss the autumn colours... but I am also looking forward to the grey and brown tones of nature in hibernation... and maybe there will even be snow this winter?!

Weinberge im Herbst

 

Und weil es so schön dort oben in der Sonne war hab ich im Anschluß gleich noch ein 2 Bild gemalt, der Blick schließt fast bündig rechts an.

Mit der Komposition hab ich bis zum Schluß gekämpft – und dann auf der Zielgeraden doch noch die Reben im Vordergrund reingemalt: das hat das Motiv gerettet.

Da war die Sonne dann aber schon weg und es wurde plötzlich ganz schön kühl ...

And because it was so beautiful up there in the sun, I painted another one right after that, with the view almost straight to the right.

I struggled with the composition until the very end – and then, in the final stretch, I painted the vines in the foreground after all: that solved the problem.

But by then the sun had already disappeared and it suddenly became quite cool...

 

Weinreben im Herbst

Und noch mal kam die Sonne raus und bescherte und einen ganz milden Herbsttag: den habe ich in den Weinbergen verbracht, ganz glücklich dass auch hier noch Laub an den Reben ist, trotz des Windes der letzten Tage.

Ich habe es mir ganz gemütlich gemacht und im Sitzen den Blick durch die im Gegenlicht leuchtenden Weinreben auf Bad Dürkheim gemalt.

Once again, the sun came out and blessed us with a very mild autumn day: I spent it in the vineyards, delighted that the vines still had leaves on them despite the wind of the last few days.

I made myself comfortable and sat down to paint the view of Bad Dürkheim through the vines glowing in the backlight.

Kleines Eppental im Herbst

 

Ich hab mal wieder ein Bild vom kleine Eppental in der Pfalz gemalt: Ich finde es so wunderschön, wie sich dieser Blick mit den Jahreszeiten wandelt.... ich malte fast auf den Tag genau dort schon einmal den Herbst, aber an einem trüben Nebeltag.

Heut schien die Morgen-Sonne so schön auf das bunte Laub und brachte die Farben so richtig zum Leuchten... sieht total anders aus, oder?

Bild vom Herbst 24 – same same but different

In einem Post aus dem Sommer habe ich mal aller bisher gemalten Eppental Bilder nebeneinander gestellt:

I painted another one of the little Eppental valley in the Palatinate: it's so beautiful how this view changes with the seasons... I painted autumn there almost exactly a year ago, but on a dull, foggy day.

Today, the morning sun shone so beautifully on the colourful foliage and really made the colours glow... it looks totally different, doesn't it?

Herbst Wald

 

Es hat nun mehrere Tage geregnet und sehr gewindet: ich bangte schon, ob das schöne bunte Laub wohl noch an den Bäumen hängt: und jawoll: der Wald um uns ist noch schön bunt – und die Sonne , die kurz raus kam, brachte die Farben noch mal mehr zum leuchten.

Ich Dussel hatte nur meine Malplatten vergessen, deswegen malte ich auf diesen Malblock, den Peter mir gab. Der war so stark saugend war, dass es sich anfühlte, (und auch so aussieht) als hätte ich mit Gouache Farben gemalt. 

It has been raining and very windy for several days now: I was worried whether the beautiful colorful leaves would still be hanging on the trees.

And yes: the forest around us is still beautifully colorful—and the sun, which came out briefly, made the colors shine even more.

I, goofy me, had forgotten my painting boards, so I painted on this sketchpad that Peter gave me. It was so absorbent that it felt (and looked) like I was painting with gouache paints.
