Ostsee Pleinair Festival – Bachlauf

 

An diesem Morgen war dann der offizielle Beginn des sogenannten Freien Malens beim Ostsee Pleinair Festival.

Ich hab mich sehr drauf gefreut, meine "Mal-Gang" von den letzten Jahren wiederzutreffend:

Neben Torsten Wolber malte ich zusammen mit Bernadette Freysold und Maike Josupeit.

Wir starteten in Tag damit, unsere leeren Malplatten in Kühlungsborn abstempeln zu lassen (damit wir nicht mogeln können) und fuhren dann nach Heiligendamm.

Eigentlich um dort die Steilküste zu malen, aber beim Weg dorthin entdeckten wir dieses schönes Motiv.

Das Bild ist der Beweis, wie leidensfähig Künstler sind: Es war dort im Schatten total eiskalt!

That morning was the official start of the so-called Free Painting at the Baltic Sea Pleinair Festival.

I was really looking forward to meeting up with my "painting gang" from the last few years:

Alongside Torsten Wolber, I painted together with Bernadette Freysold and Maike Josupeit.

We started the day by getting our blank painting boards stamped in Kühlungsborn (so we couldn't cheat) and then went to Heiligendamm.

We were actually there to paint the cliffs, but on the way there we discovered this beautiful motif.

The painting is proof of how capable artists are of suffering: It was freezing cold there in the shade!
