Und das war noch ein schnelles Abendbild, bevor die Sonne (leider viel zu früh) hinter den Bäumen verschwand.
Mit dem Bild bin ich ganz besonders glücklich: Ich habe es hier geschafft so rough und locker wie mit einer kleinen Ölskizze zu bleiben – trotz des größeren Formats. Das gelingt mir selten!
Ein super erster Tag und Start in die Malwoche in den Vogesen!

And that was another quick evening painting before the sun disappeared behind the trees (unfortunately much too early).
I am particularly happy with this painting: I managed to keep it as rough and loose as a small oil sketch – despite the larger format. I rarely succeed in doing that!
A great first day and start to the week of painting in the Vosges!
