Direkt im Anschluß an den Wasserfall dreht ich mich um 90 Grad nach links und malte die "grüne Wand".
Je länge ich dort hinschaute , umso mehr schöne Details habe ich entdeckt – ich musste mich zügeln, die nicht alle ins Bild zu malen, sondern mich nur auf die grobe Struktur des Durcheinanders zu beschränken.
Ich hab unten mal beider Bilde montiert:Das hätte ich auch auf eine große Malplatte in einem Stück malen können... wäre dann aber von der Komposition her etwa unklar geworden.

Immediately after the waterfall, I turned 90 degrees to the left and painted the ‘green wall’.
The longer I looked at it, the more beautiful details I discovered – I had to restrain myself from painting them all into the picture and instead limit myself to the rough structure of the jumble.
I have mounted both paintings below: I could have painted this on a large painting board in one piece... but then the composition would have become unclear.
