Zum einen war es sehr voll - und dann, nunja: es war w i r k l i c h dunkel :-)
Ich habe ca 45 Minuten vorher damit angefangen und in aller ruhe den Hintergrund gemalt, den ich dann aber, als das Feuer aufloderte, fast komplett übermalt habe:
Das Feuer hatte so eine Leuchtkraft, dass es sogar weit entfernte Bäume so zum leuchten brachte, dass man nicht mehr nur eine schwarz Silhouette sah, mit den Hochhäusern dahinter.
Da das Feuer dann auch nur sehr kurz so groß und leuchtend war, wurde das zum Ende hin ein echtes Speedpainting :-)
Bizarrerweise hatte ich vor Ort mit den LED Lampen das Gefühl nicht dunkel genug zu malen - und heute bei Tageslicht war es dann aber in den dunklen Stellen so richtig schwarz :-)

| Warten aufs Feuer |
This is the Martins fire (celebrating the Saint Martin's day) - a real challenge to paint live.
On the one hand, it was very crowded - and then, well,... it was r e a l l y dark :-)
I started about 45 minutes before and painted the background without hurry, even though I painted it over almost completely when the fire blazed up.
The fire had such a luminosity that it made even trees in a distance shine so tyou can see much more than only a black silhouette, with the skyscrapers behind.
Because the fire wasn't as big for a long time, it became a real speedpainting at the end :-)
Strange: while pianting in this LED light I had the feeling not to paint dark enoughh - but today in daylight it was really black in the darks :)
