Pleinair-Brandenburg Festival Tag 5

.. Und dann war für mich auch schon der letzte Tag:

Ich malte nochmal den Blick auf den Haussee  - endlich wieder weniger detailliert... Und danach noch ein ganz kleines schnelles.

Hach, schön war's - das erste mal dass ich so viele Pleinairmaler auf einem Haufen um mich hatte, und dann auch noch so ausgesprochen nette!!

... And then was for me already the last day began: 

I painted again the view of the Haussee - finally again less detailed... And afterwards a very small quicky.

It was so wonderful  - the first time that I had so many plein-air painters around me, and then also so very nice!

Pleinair-Brandenburg Festival Tag 4

Wie schön die rote Jacke in all dem Grün leuchtete...!

Da diese Lichtstimmung nur ganz ganz kurz hält, habe ich eine dunkel grundierte Malpappe genommen und sehr schnell nur das Licht gemalt... alles andere kann man dann noch in Ruhe malen wenn die Sonne schon weg ist.

Später nach dem Abendessen sind wir dann noch los um den Sonnenuntergang zu malen... Da konnte man es dann allerdings vergessen mit dem friedlichem und in Ruhe malen:

Wir alle wurden dermaßen von den Mücken gefressen, dass wir nach nur einer halben Stunde wieder flüchteten...

How beautiful the red jacket glew in all the green...!

Since this light mood only keeps very short, I took a dark primed canvas and very quickly painted only the light... everything else you can still paint relaxed when the sun is already gone.

Later after dinner we went out to paint the sunset... But then you could forget to paint relaxtes:

We were all eaten so much by the mosquitoes that we fled again after only half an hour...

Das ist unser Gartentor... 

In diesem Bild habe ich einen Maler versteckt... :-)

Dieses Bild mag ich richtig gerne, so reduziert - und sogar mit Bildidee!

This is our garden gate... 

In this painting I have hidden a painter... :-)

I really like this one, so reduced - and even with an idea!

Am 4. Tag war dann die Schleuse fällig,

Ein wunderschönes Motiv, an dem wir lange malten... und ich nun noch detaillierter wurde, obwohl ich hier nur das Schleusentor und das Haus genau malen wollte und den  Rest drumrum nur sndeuten... Hat aber ganz offensichtlich nicht geklappt.

The third day was then the lock due,

A beautiful motive, on which we painted for a long time... and now I became even more detailed, although I only wanted to paint the lock gate and the house exactly and keep the rest rough... But obviously it didn't work out.

Und schon wieder Boote:-)

Die lagen ganz besonders idyllisch an diesem Steg im Haussee...

Der Morgen begann leider etwas unerfreulich,:

Wir bekamen zum Testen Ampersand Leinwände  - deren Grundierung ließ die Ölfarben fast schon abperlen... So machte das malen gar keinen Spaß. 

Dafür war die Location aber umso schöner.

Abends dann malte ich das Haus direkt in unserem Garten... Ein schöner Tag!

And again  boats :-)

They were especially idyllically situated at this jetty in the bull market...

Unfortunately the morning started a little bit unpleasant:

We got Ampersand canvases for testing - their priming almost made the oil paints bounce off... So painting was no fun at all... But the location was even though beautiful.

Das musste ich einfach malen: wie wunderschön die Sonne durch die Bögen dieser Klosterruine schien.... Und dabei die Rundungen oben durch das vom Boden reflektierte Licht zu leuchten begannen.

Ich liebe bouncelight!

I simply had to paint this: how beautiful the sun shone through the arches of this monastery ruin.... And the curves at the top began to shine due to the light reflected from the ground.

I love bouncelight!

Pleinair-Brandenburg Festival Tag 2

Die Boote fand ich direkt ein paar Meter weiter... Es fing zwar an zu regnen, doch der kurze Moment, in dem die Sonne durch die Blätter scheint schaffte es auf das Bild.

Obwohl ich das Motiv nur wegen des ersten Bootes wählte, hab ich alle Boote gleich detailliert gemalt. Schade, das hätte es gar nicht gebraucht die so durchzupingeln....

I found these boats directly a few meters away... It started to rain, but the short moment when the sun broke through the leaves made it onto the painting.

Although I chose the motive only because of the first boat, I painted all boats equally detailed. Too bad, that wouldn't have needed...

Den zweiten Tag begann ich  gleich mit einem Motiv, das einem dort überall begegnete: einem malenden Maler:-)

The second day I immediately started with a motif that I met everywhere there: a painting painter:-)

Pleinair-Brandenburg Festival Tag 1

Als ich  am späten Nachmittag in Himmelpfort beim Pleinair-Brandenburg Festival ankam war das Haus ganz leer - und überall im Garten und am See verteilt stand oder saß irgendwer an der Staffelei... Als war da irgendwo ein Nest :-)

Um anzukommen, und um nicht unangenehm aufzufallen habe ich dann auch gleich was gemalt.

Ganz schnell und einigermaßen unkonzentriert - und so entstand mein lockerstes Bild der vier Tage dort. Anstatt so weiterzumachen wurde ich dann von Tag zu Tag frickeliger....

When I arrived in Himmelpfort at the Pleinair-Brandenburg Festival in the late afternoon, the house was completely empty - and everywhere in the garden and at the lake stood or sat somebody at the easel... As if there was a nest somewhere :-)

In order to arrive, and not to attract unpleasant attention, I painted something.

Quite fast and somewhat unfocused - and so my most loosely painting of the four days  came into being. Instead of going on like this I became more and more etailed from day to day....

Ich bin schon sehr gespannt auf die andern Maler - und die schöne Seenlandschaft!
