And I painted another kitchen painting the very next day. I have discovered that this is a very good exercise for me to become more painterly: Instead of painting every thing exactly, explaining it so that everyone recognizes it, and then getting too fiddly and exact, I just roughly painted everywhere the shape and colour I see there.... I did not construct the objects but only hinted at them. The overall impression is then very detailed, but if you look more closely, I have painted everything very loosely.

Küchenecke

Today it was too uncomfortable for me outside, so I looked for my motif in the flat. I should have put more effort into the composition before (arrange the objects more consciously), but it was still fun! Especially painting metal, or its reflections, is really great....

When I can't get out in nature, nature comes to me... end of the 2nd Corona week.
While two afternoons I watched how beautiful the sun (only very briefly!) illuminated the flower branch - and finally I painted it (very quickly^^).

immer noch die 2. Coronawoche.

Week two of Corona... And still it doesn't feel right to paint outside when we should all stay at home.
The urban sketchers, who usually meet on a third Sunday of the month, made a date instead of just painting together we paint simultanousely: the task was to paint the view from or to the toilet. Voilá! The biggest fun was the stainless steel fitting.

Bretagne Tag 11
In the afternoon it rained again - inside I painted the beautiful old staircase of the Maison de Bains, I wanted to do that for years, this year I dared to do it for the first time.
That was a nice meditative way to paint step by step in the right angle.
nevertheless: one is missing :-)

Wieder was gelernt;-)

Luckilly I've learned to handle the overcastlight, to paint without the helpfull strong contrasts in the sunlight.
The first painting shows the old mill, in which we lived - such a very nice restaurated charming building! This one I gave the owners to say thanks.
Because of the rain I stayed on the balcone and painted the neighbours house. After Alfons and Torsten told me, that the roofline continous directly in the forestline i changed this. Better? Better.
And the last painting of the day I painted indoors. Was a littlebit suprised that even inside the light changes so quickly. Began with strong diffuse overcastlight from outdoors and ended with the stronger warm lampligth. Didn't manage it to keep the rest of the painting dark enough to let the lamplight shine... now, I've learned it.
