At last I can paint waves again:
I love staring at the surf for hours on end, waiting until the wave reaches exactly the spot where I want to paint it, making a stroke, then not knowing what to do next (what did that look like again?)… and staring for ages again until the wave has reached that exact spot once more.
At times like that, I really don’t think about anything else but colours and shapes...
After some very eventful weeks—all those painting trips and my move from the woods back to the city—I’m treating myself to a vacation in Aquitaine for now.
I’m not going to do anything except lounge around on the beach—though of course I’ll still be painting; for me, that’s not work :-)
Here’s the painting from my first day at the beach.
