Was auf dem Bild aussieht wie Birken sind ganz junge Espen... Beim Malen wurden die Stämme irgendwie immer wichtiger und dicker. Aber gemalt habe ich sie ja wegen des schön gefärbten Laubs, und das stimmt. Ich muss das erst noch lernen, dass es nicht schlimm ist, wenn mein Bild nicht genau dem Motiv entspricht: denn das Bild wird ja nie mit dem Original verglichen (außer hier im Blog, wo ich die Location Fotos zeige).
What looks like birches in the painting are very young aspens... While painting the trunks became more and more important and thicker. But I painted them because of the beautifully coloured leaves, and that is true. I still have to learn that it's not bad if my painting doesn't exactly match the motif: because the painting is never compared to the original (except here in the blog, where I show the location photos).
