Blühender Kirschbaum

Wie gestern schon angekündigt habe ich heute diesen wunderschön blühenden Baum gemalt.

Ich habe versucht ihn ganz langsam herauszumodellieren, erst zum Schluß konkreter zu werden, damit ich ihn nicht zu detailliert male und das Bild schön locker bleibt.

As announced yesterday I have today painted this beautiful blooming tree.

I tried to model him very slowly,  become more concrete only at the end t, so that I paint him not too detailed and the painting remains loose.

Blick auf Offenbach

 

Nachdem das Wetter endlich wieder schöner wurde, bin ich auf die Felder geradelt - und musste feststellen, dass die Kirschbäume bereits verblüht waren...!

So habe ich den Blick auf Offenbach gemalt und versucht, dabei so simpel wie möglich zu bleibe und nicht zu viel Details zu malen.

Auf dem Heimweg radelte ich an einem  noch wunderschön blühenden Baum vorbei - den werde ich dann gleich morgen malen :-)

After the weather finally became nicer again, I cycled on the fields - and had to realize that the cherry trees were already withered...!

So I painted the view of Offenbach and tried to stay as simple as possible and not to paint too much detail.

On the way home I cycled past a still beautifully blooming tree - I will paint it tomorrow :-)

Platane auf dem Frankfurter Hauptfriedhof

 

Diese wunderschöne alte Platane steht auf dem Frankfurter Hauptfriedhof, der ganz viele solche Baumriesen hat. Ich habe im Baumkataster der Stadt nachgeguckt: sie ist tatsächlich 149 Jahre alt!

So richtig habe ich das Motiv noch nicht für mich geknackt, ich habe mir vorgenommen auf jeden Fall noch mal eine Platane zu malen...

This beautiful old plane tree stands in Frankfurt's main cemetery, which has quite a few such giant trees. I looked in the tree cadastre of the city: it is actually 149 years old!

I do not hcaptured the motif as I wanted to, I'm sure I will paint again a plane tree...

Narzissen im Schnee

Und zack! Kommt der Winter doch noch mal zurück!

das ist jetzt aber hoffentlich das letzte Schneebild der Saison!

And bang! Winter yet comes back again!

Hopefully the last snow painting of the season!

Schrebergarten im Frühling

 

Diesen wunderschönen blühenden Schrebergarten habe ich Contre Jour, also im Gegenlicht gemalt. 

Die von hinten beleuchten Blüten leuchteten so schön vor dem dunklen Hintergrund...!

blühender Marillenbaum

Endlich Frühling!

Diesen wunderschön blühenden Marillenbaum fand ich in den nahen Schrebergärten - und genoss es sehr das erste mal ohne dicke Jacke malen zu können!

Finally spring!

This beautifully blooming apricot tree I found in the nearby allotments - and enjoyed it very much the first time without a thick jacket to paint!

 

Trauerweide

  

Und ich war gleich noch mal am See im Park:

Diese Trauerweide habe ich schon öfter gemalt, aber dieses mal bin ich ihrem 'Wesen' viel näher gekommen.

Ich habe mich sehr auf die Spiegelung konzentriert (und fand vor allem die Stelle ganz vorne irre, wo man durch die dunkle Spiegelung auf den von der Sonne beleuchteten Grund des Sees gucken kann...).

Zum Vergleich zeige ich hier mal einen ganz frühen Versuch:

Das war mein Ölbild Nr. 160, gemalt im Herbst 2014 – das von heute ist mein 973. 

And I went to the lake in the park again:

I have painted this weeping willow several times before, but this time I got much closer to its 'essence'.

I focused a lot on the reflection (and especially found the part at the very front crazy, where you can see through the dark reflection to the bottom of the lake illuminated by the sun....)

The 2nd painting shows an old painting the same tree from 2014.

Schilf am See

 

Das ist der Blick auf den See im Ostpark hier in Frankfurt.

Mit dem Motiv habe ich mich ein bisschen übernommen: Dafür, dass es mir nur um die Schilf-Puschel im Gegenlicht ging habe ich viel zu viel gemalt und mich zu sehr mit den vielen Details beschäftigt.

Da wollte ich einfach zu viel in nur einem Bild erzählen....

This is the view of the lake in the Ostpark here in Frankfurt.

I overdid it a bit with this motif: Since I was only interested in the reed clusters in the backlight, I painted far too much and was too occupied with the many details.

I wanted to tell too much in just one painting....
