Bach im Schnee

Im Taunus lag wieder Schnee, sogar die Sonne schien und lockte uns raus... als wir dann aber mit dem Malen anfingen verschwand sie langsam. So hatten wir wenigstens stabile Lichteverhältnisse :-)

Ich mag den Kontrast zwischen dem weißen, weichen Schnee und dem dunklen Bach mit seinen schroffen Kanten der Felsen und Äste - das war aber genau das, was mich beim Malen etwas überforderte...

Ich hatte zwar vorher eine kleine Ölskizze genacht, um zu probieren, wie ich das am besten löse... richtig zufrieden bin ich aber dennoch nicht. Ich mal das bestimmt nochmal!

And again: snow in the Taunus, even the sun was shining and lured us out ... but when we started to paint, it slowly disappeared. So we had at least stable light conditions :-)

I like the contrast between the white, soft snow and the dark stream with its rugged edges of rocks and branches - but that was exactly what bothered me when I painted ...
Although I had previously made a little oil sketch to try how I solve the this problem... I'm not really satisfied. I'll do that again!
