Dieser kleine Bach mündet in die Rur in der Nähe vom Monschau.
Den habe ich bei einer Wanderung mit meinem Mann entdeckt und so beschlossen wir ihn am nächsten (angeblich sonnigen) Tag zu malen.
Während wir malten zog es immer mehr zu und begann zu nieseln. Ganz leicht, so dass ich gar nicht auf die Idee kam eine Schirm aufzuspannen... mit dem Ergebnis dass irgendwann alles sehr sehr nass (und auch kalt) war. zum Glück sind meine Ölfarben wasserabweisend!
Trotz des schlechten Wetters war es unter freiem Himmel so hell dass ich die Farben alle so mischte, dass sie nun im Nachhinein, ohne dieses Licht, fast zu dunkel wirken.

This small creek flows into the Rur near Monschau.
I discovered it during a hike with my husband and so we decided to paint it the next (supposedly sunny) day.
While we were painting, it became more and more cloudy and started to drizzle. Very lightly, so that it didn't even occur to me to put up an umbrella... with the result that at some point everything was very very wet (and also cold). Luckily my oil paints are water-repellent!
Despite the bad weather, it was so bright outdoors that I mixed all the values in such a way that, without this light, they now look almost too dark.
