Diesen kleinen Trampelpfad im Park wollte ich schon immer malen – und habe es nun getan :-)

Ich liebe es, solche Lichtflecken ins Motiv zu malen. In dem Moment, in dem ich sie auf den Schatten setze, geht das Licht an :-)

Ich habe hier wieder ein Zeitraffer-Video gedreht: ich werde es ganz bald auf meine Website laden....

I love to paint such light spots in the subject, the moment I put them on the shadow, the light goes on :-)

Friedberger Warte

Das erste Mal seit über einem Jahr haben sich die urbansketchers mal wieder "in echt" getroffen - wie schön, endlich wieder gemeinsam zu malen und zu zeichnen!

Allerdings stand ich bei dem Motiv dann doch die meiste alleine in der Prallsonne, die anderen hatten sich schattige Plätzchen für ihre Zeichenhocker gesucht. Wie immer haben mich die Urbansketchers dazu gebracht an einem Platz zu malen, an den ich mich sonst nie hingestellt hätte ... aber die Friedberger Warte zu malen war es wert!

The first time in over a year, the urbansketchers have met again "in real" - how nice to finally paint and draw together again!

However, I stood with the motive then but most alone in the blazing sun, the others had sought shady places for their drawing stools. As always, the Urbansketchers have brought me to paint in a place where I would otherwise never have stood ... but painting the Friedberger Warte was worth it!

Im Günthersburgpark

 

Das ist der Blick von der Bank im Günthersburgpark, auf der ich mich nach dem Laufen oft dehne...

Zurück aus der Bretagne war ich noch immer so im Malmodus, dass ich spontan mein Malzeug packte und ihn malte.

Ich mag es sehr, wenn das Licht im Hintergrund so durchleuchtet und dadurch die Bäume im Vordergrund fast nur noch als Silhouette erkennbar sind. Leider habe ich den vorderen Baum dafür ein bisschen zu hell gemalt, so ging dieser Effekt etwas verloren.

Back from Brittany I was still so in painting mode that I spontaneously grabbed my painting stuff and painted him.

I really like it when the light in the background shines through and thus the trees in the foreground are almost only recognizable as a silhouette. Unfortunately, I painted the front tree for it a bit too bright, so this effect was somewhat lost.

Bretagne – Meer, Felsen und Häuser

Und zum Abschluss habe ich dann noch mal alle Motive auf einmal in ein Bild gemalt (naja, bis auf die Boote).

Hier war es mal anders herum: das Wasser verschwand einfach während ich malte ... und das obwohl ich diesmal extra ganz sicher und trocken stand.

Ach es war auch dieses mal wieder wunderschön in der Bretagne – und wieder lasse ich viel zu viele tolle Motive ungemalt zurück.

Ich komme wieder!

And finally I painted all motifs at once in one painting (well, except for the boats).

Here it was the other way around: the water simply disappeared while I painted ... and that although I stood this time extra quite safe and dry.

Oh it was also this time again beautiful in Brittany - and again I leave far too many great motifs unpainted.

I will be back!

Bretagne – Boote

Weil das dort im Hafen so ein schönes Motiv war, bin ich noch mal zurück nach Porz Guen um die Boote dieses mal etwas closer zu malen.

Und prompt musste ich irgendwann nach oben auf die Kaimauer umziehen, weil die Flut kam. Ich habe aber auch eeewig dran gemalt, dieses mal mit viel mehr Details.

Noch ist Ebbe...

I went back to Porz Guen to paint the boats a little closer this time.

And promptly I had to move up to the quay wall because the tide was coming in.  But I also painted for hours, this time with much more details

Bretagne – Wellen Gischt

Das ist tatsächlich der gleiche Blick wie am Abend zuvor – nur dieses mal morgens bei trüben und windigem Wetter. Irre, wie die Farben so komplett anders sind ... !

Während ich malte wurde es erst neblig, doch dann plötzlich immer klarer, bis sogar ganz zum Schluss die Sonne raus kam - was ich dann beim Malen (besonders bei den Farben) komplett ignorieren musste.

This is actually the same view as the evening before - only this time in the morning with cloudy and windy weather. It's crazy how the colours are so completely different ... !

Bretagne – Wellen im Abendlicht

Während ich die Wellen, die sich an den Felsen vor unserem Häuschen brechen malte, wurde das Licht immer wärmer... so dass ich immer noch mehr Orange in die Felsen mischen musste.

Die Farben sind dann aber bei kühlem Tageslichtbetrachtet gar nocht mehr so richtig warm – da hat sich beim Malen das warme Abendlicht wohl reingemischt.

Wie sehr erkennt man auf dem Locationfoto, dass ich in genau diesem Licht knipste.

As I painted the waves breaking on the rocks in front of our cottage, the light got warmer and warmer.... so that I had to mix more and more orange into the rocks.

The colors are in cool daylight no longer really warm - since the warm evening light has probably mixed in while painting.
