Heute war endlich so wenig Wind, dass ich mich ganz vorne an die Wasserkante setzen konnte – so konnte ich diese Welle ganz entspannt "observieren" und malen.
Für jeden Pinselstrich muss ich ca. eine halbe Minute gucken, um den Zeitpunkt abzupassen, wann die Wellen genau so bricht ... das entschleunigt enorm: ich kann mir nur wenig entspannenderes vorstellen als Wellen vom lebenden Objekt abzumalen.
Today there was finally so little wind that I could sit right at the water’s edge – so I was able to observe this wave in complete relaxation and paint it.
For every brushstroke, I have to watch for about half a minute to time it just right when the wave breaks exactly like that... it really helps me slow down: I can’t imagine anything more relaxing than painting waves from life.
