Am fünften Tag unseres Artretreats kam schon morgends ein Gewitter auf und es blieb den ganzen bewölkt und regnete immer mal.
Den Leuchtturm malten wir abends unten im Hafen und erwischten tatsächlich noch die Sonne!
Den Blick von unserem Haus auf den Hafen malte ich mittags -und kam mit dem kontarstlosen trüben Licht nicht gut zurecht. Das zeige ich hier nur der Vollständigkeit zu liebe.
Da mich landschaftlich so gar nichts inspirierte, es zudem immer mal regnete, malte ich in meiner Verzweiflung den Kollegen beim Malen - das war mal was ganz neues für mich - denn der hielt einfach nicht still, änderte immer mal seine Sitzposition - und ich wollte ja auch, dass er sich einigermaßen ähnlich sieht. War sehr lehrreich - muss ich aber definitiv noch üben!
On the fifth day of our artretreat a thunderstorm came up already in the morning and it remained cloudy and raining all the time.
We painted the lighthouse in the evening down in the harbour and actually still caught the sun!
I painted the view from our house to the harbour at noon - and I did not get along well with the inconsistent dim light. I show this here only for the sake of completeness.
Since I wasn't inspired by the landscape and it was raining all the time, I painted my colleague - that was something completely new for me - because he just wouldn't hold still, changed his sitting position every now and then - and I wanted him to look as he looks. It was very instructive - but I definitely still have to practice!
