Auch wenn es hier in der Bretagne bis fast 11 Uhr noch hell ist, habe ich so lange an diesem Bild gemalt, dass ich am Ende eigentlich gar nix mehr sah…
Heute Morgen dann die Überraschung, als ich das Bild das erste mal bei Tageslicht sah!
Die Stimmung kurz vor Sonnenuntergang mit den noch hellen Farben hatte ich tatsächlich trotz der Dunkelheit beim beenden des Bildes noch eingefangen.
Even though it's still light here in Brittany until almost 11 o'clock, I spent so long painting this one that I couldn't really see anything at the end...
This morning I was surprised when I saw the painting for the first time in daylight!
The mood just before sunset with the still bright colours I had actually captured despite the darkness when I finished the painting.
