Diesen kleine Hafen bei "uns" um die Ecke musste ich natürlich auch unbedingt malen:
nachdem ich ein bisschen Mühe mit den klitzekleinen Booten beim bild vom Pors Poulhan hatte, dachte ich, es sei eine gute Idee sie dieses mal größer anzulegen.
Ich finde es wirklich schwer boote zu vereinfachen, sie im gleichen Duktus wie die Landschaft zu malen, sie nicht in Bild "reinzuillustrieren".
Auch bei diesem bild kam die Flut sehr schnell - dieses mal habe ich aber bewusst auf einem Felsen gemalt... musste dennoch immer wieder noch ein Stück zurückweichen.

After I had a bit of trouble with the tiny boats in the painting of Pors Poulhan, I thought it would be a good idea to make them bigger this time.
I find it really hard to simplify boats, to paint them in the same style as the landscape, not to "illustrate" them in the painting.
In this painting, too, the tide came in very quickly - but this time I deliberately painted on a rock... but still had to retreat a bit.
