Diese beiden Bilder sind meine Demobilder für einen 2 tägigen Workshop, der am wohl heißesten Wochenende des Jahres bei 38° stattfand.
Das erste Bild ist ein schön kontrastreiches Motiv, was das Malen erleichtert.
Bevor wir dieses Bild gemalt haben, haben wir eine kleine Ölskizze der Szenerie gemalt, damit konnten wir das Vereinfachen üben. Außerdem hilft so eine Pochade, um sich an das Motiv heranzutasten, auch um zu überprüfen, ob die Komposition funktioniert. Und das beste: sie in kleines Format nimmt einem die Scheu vorm Malen, einfach anzufangen....
Meine beiden (bei der Hitze sehr tapferen!) Schülerinnen hatten dafür ca. 45 Minuten zur Verfügung.
Danach malten wir gemeinsam das gleiche Motiv noch mal in groß, dafür brauchten wir dann natürlich viel Länder länger. Angepeilt ist eigentlich so ein Bild in ca. 2 Stunden zu malen, mit den ganzen Erklärungen braucht man aber meist um einiges länger - trotzdem muss ich meine Schüler*innne hier immer ein bisschen zur Eile antreiben:
Das Motiv verändert sich durch das Wandern der Sonne einfach zu schnell, und es ist ungleich schwieriger etwas zu malen, was nicht mehr da ist...
Mit dem Bild des 2. Tages zeigte ich den beiden wie man Wasser malt, das hatten sie sich gewünscht.
Vielleicht erkennt ihr das Motiv wieder, das habe ich bereits mit meiner Schülerin des vorigen Workshops gemalt.
Die beiden Teilnehmerinnen waren jetzt am 2 Tag auch schon um einiges sicherer und dadurch auch schneller fertig mit ihren Bildern.

| Das Atelier im Freien - die Ausrüstung stelle ich bei Bedarf für den Workshop zur Verfügung. These two paintings are my demo paintings for a 2-day workshop that took place on probably the hottest weekend of the year at 38°. The first painting is a nicely contrasted subject, which makes painting easier. Before we did this painting, we made a small oil sketch of the scene, so we could practise simplifying. Besides, such a pochade helps to approach the motif, also to check if the composition works. And the best thing: in a small format it takes away the shyness of painting, just to start.... My two (very brave in the heat!) students had about 45 minutes to do this. Afterwards we painted the same motif again in large format, which of course took us much longer. The aim is to paint such a painting in about 2 hours, but with all the explanations it usually takes a lot longer - nevertheless, I always have to urge my students to hurry a bit: The motif changes too quickly because of the sun's wandering, and it is much more difficult to paint something that is no longer there... With the painting of the second day I showed them how to paint water, that's what they wanted. Maybe you recognise the motif, I already painted it with my student from the previous workshop. The two participants were now much more confident on the second day and therefore finished their paintings more quickly. On request, I also give individual workshops in English |
