Kiefernwäldchen im botanischen Garten

Dieses wunderschöne Motiv habe ich im botanischen Garten hier in Frankfurt entdeckt:

es erinnert mich sehr an die Pinienwälder an der französischen Atlantikküste (wo ich bald wieder malen darf!).

Eigentlich ein bisschen absurd, dass ich die nun hier zuhause gemalt habe und nicht in ihrem natürlichen Habitat im Süden....

Aber tatsächlich habe ich dort am Atlantik immer das Bedürfnis am Strand oder wenigstens in den Dünen zu malen, um das Meer nicht zu verpassen – vielleicht sollte ich dieses Jahr doch mal im Wald bleiben (solange er noch da ist!!).

I discovered this beautiful motif in the botanical garden here in Frankfurt:

it reminds me very much of the pine forests on the French Atlantic coast (where I may soon paint again!). It's a bit absurd that I painted them here at home and not in their natural habitat in the south....

But actually, there at the Atlantic I always feel the need to paint on the beach or at least in the dunes so as not to miss the sea - maybe I should stay in the forest this year after all (while it's still there!!).
